No, no, can't go there.  Plants there.  Bad plants.  Pull yourself together, Billy buddy.  It's just a curse--everything will be fine just avoid the Mistletoe.  Aaaaahh!! There it is, go the other way.  Think of Penny, avoid plants, no puckering up.  Is that my phone?

Oh, damn, is this thing on?

[BEEEEEEEP]

[ooc: I wasn't going to post again so soon, but everyone should have the opportunity to further traumatize kiss Dr. Horrible if they so wish.  Or, attempt to calm him down.  But that's not as much fun.  Why so crazed?  This.  Feel free to actionspam or reply to post.]

For one thing, I'm not sure I'd be able to purchase everything I need in a normal store. For another, this place has its own money and I don't exactly have much of it yet...

Speaking of going crazy, is the ticking getting to you yet? That's another thing about this place--when you're alone you hear incessant ticking and when you're with other people you...sometimes end up having to kiss them. It's a no-win situation so far.

Yeah, that's one of my problems...

I don't know, the ticking? I don't really pay attention to it. I figure it's a part of the mind games that whoever or whatever in charge of this entire thing is playing.

At least you're probably young enough to get free housing and meals. Though if you want to buy anything else I guess you'd have to find a job or some...other...income source. I sort of have a job now. It's not really a normal job but I'm not really sure if "normal" applies to anything here.

Are you kidding? I mean, I've had some handouts (I had to get a girl to buy me decent clothes because I was not dressed for cold) but I guess if I'm playing this stupid game I'd probably better find a place to stay permanently and some form of slave labor job.

You hear of anything a 'kid'like me could do?

Not unless you're secretly a scientific genius. But there's lots of stores and things so I'm sure you'll find something eventually. I'm moving into Building 11, Apt# 217. I guess you could crash with me at least until you find something better. Hey...is is just me or did the ticking stop?

[Billy is not so sure about this whole roommate thing but...Marco appears to be neither a superhero nor a cop and it would help with the ticking. (I think it has the potential for hilarity.)]

I mean, I made an A in chemistry, dude, but I don't think that counts.

[A pause. Marco is thinking. He decides that it is better than sleeping outside in this creeptastic place.]

What's your name?

[The briefest of pauses.]

Billy.

[Probably best not to spring the whole evil mad scientist thing on him. In fact, probably best if he works on keeping his secret identity actually secret.]

And, er, not to scare you or anything but you may want to get inside someplace safe as soon as possible. It appears to be zombie apocalypse-ing outside.
