I don't fully understand him. Do you know if he has a history of mental illness?

I'm pretty sure extreme narcissism does qualify as a diagnosable mental disorder. But a lot of people are under the impression that he's as awesome as he thinks he is, so I don't know what's wrong with them. But what's there to understand? He's just a big strong idiot.

I guess the memory is bittersweet. I mean, things were going really nice for a bit, but he showed up and ruined everything. But I'd still like to have it. I'm in the laboratory too, I'll meet you--in the lobby. Stupid elevator.

In his case, perhaps, the medical community might make an exception. I've met a fair share of big, strong idiots, and I can honestly say that he outdoes each and every one of them.

Ah... terribly sorry to hear that.

Right! I'll be down in a moment. Eventually, we'll find a way to get around whatever causes the elevator to behave as it does.

Well, standing up to him is what usually leads to all this in the first place. But I'm going to stand more effectively in the future. Though I've kind of been avoiding him since he arrived here...

It's a curse day. That sort of thing just keeps happening.

The city's curses come and go. Some repeat. Strange things happen from midnight to midnight. No one's found a real pattern yet, but they're looking.

A Pattern. Yes, there would be a pattern, wouldn't there? Can you tell me more of your observations? Is it always midnight to midnight?

Yeah. Though some of them have lasted more than a day and some come one day after another. But it's always midnight. The City has a thing about clocks, that's for sure.
